Dear onesβ€”

Since my late-night email about lying on the floor instead of burning my life down… a few of you have written back with some version of:

Okay but what actually happens?

Fair.

Honestly?

From the outside… not much.

@ Lee Know for Gucci

You lie down.
You breathe.
You notice.

That’s genuinely it.

No clearing your mind.

In fact, please don’t.

This isn’t meditation in the β€œempty your thoughts and transcend your humanity” sense.

It’s a body and awareness practice.

The mind can do what minds do.

Think.
Wander.
Worry.
Narrate.
Complain.
Make grocery lists.

Totally fine.

We’re just widening the field of awareness enough to include the body too.

The tingling in the sole of your foot.
The tightness in your jaw.
The sudden urge to get up and do something productive.
The boredom.
The sleepiness.
The anxiety.
The thought spiral.
The weirdly specific memory from 2009.

All of it belongs.

And before we breathe, we set an intention.

Not in a β€œmanifest your yacht” kind of way.
More in the sense of:
What in your life is asking for attention right now?

A decision?
A relationship dynamic?
A pattern you’re tired of?
A longing?
A version of β€œI’m fine” that maybe… isn’t?

You do not need to have this perfectly articulated.

Your psyche is smarter than your bullet points.

The intention just gives your awareness somewhere to orient.

And then we breathe.

That’s the deceptively simple part.

Just you… lying there.

Feeling things.
Thinking things.
Listening.

No boxes checked.
No measurable achievement.
No gold star.

Because here’s how I understand it:

The conscious, thinking mind is only one small part of the story.

The deeper layers of usβ€”the patterned parts, the protective parts, the old stories, the subconscious if you like that languageβ€”don’t usually communicate in neat, articulate sentences.

They speak sensation.

Tight chest.
Buzzing limbs.
A clenched jaw.
A pit in the stomach.
The inexplicable urge to get up and do literally anything else.

When we keep trying to solve everything exclusively through thinking, we can miss the conversation entirely.

But when we pay attention to sensation, those deeper parts of us finally have another way to be heard.

And parts of us that feel heard tend to escalate less.

That’s part of why this creates capacity.

Practices that help us grow nervous system capacity feel less like luxury and more like basic life skills.

Especially right now.

This Saturday is our first New Moon Breathe.

New moon in Taurus.

A lovely time to get quiet enough to hear yourself.
To plant seeds around what matters.
To begin noticing what’s actually going on inside.

20 minutes intention setting
20 minutes breathe
20 minutes debrief / integration

And honestly? The debrief is where some of the gold lives.

Or maybe more accuratelyβ€”that’s where you get to take the gold home.

Because this all happens in a group.

Being witnessed.
Hearing what other people noticed.
Recognizing yourself in someone else’s story.
Letting your own experience make a little more sense in community.

I’ll be honestβ€”this part can feel vulnerable.
Being seen often does.

And yet… some of the deepest healing I’ve experienced has happened exactly there.

Maybe this becomes a monthly ritual.

A quiet check-in with yourself through the end of the year.

A way of keeping track of your inner whereabouts.

Because so much of becoming looks like absolutely nothing from the outside.

Just you lying there.
Breathing.
Feeling.
Thinking.
Listening.

And yet…

the seeds planted now may look very different by the time the moon swells full months from now.

In six months, October 25th, the full moon will be in Taurus.
Same sign.
Different season.
Different you.

I kind of love that.

A way of marking time not by productivity or deadlines…

but by your own becoming.

That kind of invisible work counts too.

These monthly breathes will be pay what you can.

I genuinely don’t want cost to be the reason people don’t come experience this work.

Saturday, May 16

Sunday 11am AEST for my pals down under β˜€οΈ

Come exactly as you are.

See you under the dark moon πŸŒ™

P.S. If you’re more of a one-on-one human, I do hold private sessions too.

And if the small tucked-away mountain retreat version of this is the thing quietly tapping your shoulder… you can peek here.
